Amy Lee has denied she is to record a collaboration with Metallica for the band’s forthcoming album. Lee was rumored to have teamed up with the rockers to rework their classic track Fade To Black, as well as providing vocals for their new LP which is due out later this year (08). But the star has dismissed the reports with a posting on her website: She says, “I am NOT going to be collaborating with Metallica. I love Metallica and Evanescence. I wish this collaboration would have happened. Amy’s voice would have brought something special to the thrash sound of Metallica. Whatever. <3.

I am a huge Evanescence fan and they have impacted my life in a very strong way, reminding me to always be who I am. I would appreciate it if all you Evanescence fans would check out the amazing american idol finalist from Ireland, Carly Smithson. You can check her out on Youtube and visit her official myspace site. I am going to see her on the american idol tour and she is going to be singing Bing Me to Life!!! Please dont forget about her when she comes out with an album in a couple of years, she so very much reminds me of Amy Lee who is so kind and amazing!!!

I am a big Evanescence fan and I love Amy. I love her voice, it’s so wonderful. My only wish now is Evanescence will make new great song. I LOVE EVANESCENCE

i don’t think that amy said anything affinsive about metallika . I like some of metallika’s works and i think it would b nice if the tow collaborate . By the way, amy once appeared at one of their concerts and performed “one” with them!!!

Metallica is realy a great band as we know and also evanescence well used too before with john and rocky
it is just a rumer why do you ppl make a big deal form it as she said she will not make an album with Metallica end of story

So, this is for real? An album, not an EP or anything like that? If so- that’s great, because EPs of my fav bands are not for sale whre I live, just their albums.

Iris, I read in the topic made about the rumour that the album was to come out in September, but I don’t know if it’s true.

I think I know why there is a long wait. They are writing and recording for the new album so that’s why there probably isn’t much news.
