Amy Lee comments on Michael Jackson’s death    ·    June 26th, 2009

Amy Lee wrote the following message on Evthreads.com about Michael Jackson’s tragic and untimely death:

Michael Jackson (1958-2009)

What a strange and sad day. Michael Jackson was possibly the greatest (and definitely the most influential) artist of our time. He’s one of my biggest and first musical influences, and I know that to be true for many many people. I hope he’s in a better place and can finally be at peace. I feel like he was very misunderstood. I’m taking comfort in the fact that his music will live forever…

I feel the same way, too. One of the most talented human beings to ever walk this planet. But also very kind and humble. As for him being misunderstood, well that’s just one unfortunate trait that comes with being a Virgo. I sincerely hope that he is in a better place, and if he is, well he’s better off there than having to suffer any more pain and humiliation that he endured when he was alive. But NEVER did I think this guy would only live to be 50. Never. If you told me last Thursday a week from now Michael Jackson would be dead, I would ask you what kind of person you are to make such a sick joke.

  7. Emilee Worley Says:

    i agree with Amy.
Although he did make some not so great mistakes I think that he really was misunderstood. I also hope he is at peace where ever he is right now. R.I.P Michael!

    amy im terrible love you.

  9. Perceiver Says:

Emily she is better than you, so maybe you ought to listen to some of her wisdom eh?

Jackson was praised by everyone from Sinatra, and Fred Astaire to Slash from Guns and Roses, to Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson. There is probably not a genre of music that dosen’t have artists he has not influenced.

Ofcourse Amy makes her assessments on the basis of talent and music, not on the basis of childish reactions to rumors.

Perceptive and unique individual Amy is.

I have a video from the Paris Hilton video on my blog. To bad it got relased onto the net for everyone to watch. She did not want it to be public as it was her ex boyfriend Rick Salomon that made it.

  20. Madlyn Angolo Says:

Omg.. i just love Michael Jackson.. I’m still sad he died..

  21. Kraig Daimaru Says:

Michael Jackson dying was a massive bombshell for anyone who loves the arts in general, although in hindsight it was maybe not so unexpected. The child abuse charges brought upon him weighed on him like a ton of bricks. As soon as he began to use prescription medicines to just get by, that was the moment there definitely was no way back, if you ask me.
