Evanescence has announced an on-sale date of August 19th for tickets to the upcoming first leg of its world tour. Beginning in Toronto, Ontario on October 5th, the rock group, featuring Amy Lee (vocals, piano), Terry Balsamo (guitar), John LeCompt (guitar) and Rocky Gray (drums), will perform seventeen North American dates plus a live performance at the MTV Video Music Awards Latin in Mexico City before heading overseas for a second leg in Europe. A complete list of shows with an on-sale August 19th is listed below. On October 3rd, the band will release the much-anticipated album, The Open Door on Wind-up Records. Evanescence’s second studio album follows its debut Fallen, and the live DVD/CD Anywhere But Home.
